Very helpful and friendly staff. Room was clean and fine for what I needed and AC worked well. The bed and pillows were very comfortable, and the person that cleaned the room always did a nice job, with fresh towels every day, even though I would have been happy to re-use my towels to save the planet! The local area had a range of good restaurants nearby, and the cafe next door was excellent for great breakfasts, including scrambled eggs, and tasty lunches, and again very friendly people. Wi-Fi also reliable, and included in the price. I had a conference at the Renaissance Hotel, which was just up the hill, 5 minutes walk away, with Av Paulista also close so very convenient location. I would definitely recommend Matiz Manhattan to anyone.
The roof top gym equipment was in poor shape with only one of the 2 treadmills working and the cross trainer, I could not get to work. The pool looked nice just for cooling off as it is very small, but there were no cushions evident for the loungers and generally the pool/gym area could do with a makeover with some nice pot plants for example, to improve the facilities and ambiance of the area. Other than this, everything was great. Will come again when I am next in Sao Paulo! But can you invest in some newer gym equipment and make the poolside nicer?
nice rooms, good area, close to many sightseeing items, friendly staff and good household staff
it is a little bit expensive but that is quite normal in São Paulo, the staff does not always speak english and that is a minus. The gym they talk of it not a gym, just a running device and some minor equipment but there are nice (expensive) gyms in the area. restaurant often closed. breakfast should really be included in the price (!). microwave in the room did not work because the plug did not fit in the wall!!!!
location I guess
hotel pics on booking's site were somehow misleading, the hotel did not turn up to be what I thought it would be. The gym and the pool area are just a joke!! Which is the main reason why I chose this hotel. Breakfast was poor and lack of variety
Very helpful staff. Hotel is in an excellent location.
No pool or fitness centre (they claim to have a fitness centre but it is inadequate).
Very clean, hardwood floors with no smell, location perfect to downtown, large walk-in closet, safe, large-screen TV with English channels, reasonable price laundry service, nice swimming pool area on room great relaxation after long work day, microwave oven, very large shower and clean bathroom. Spend 6 nights. Finally found a great hotel in SP.
no TV in bedroom, breakfast quite mediocre, internet a bit slow
Large room. Great location
Apartment Building with partial hotel in some floors. The "flat" concept they have in São Paulo
Paulista location is excellent.
Recently renovated. Seems like it never was completely finished. Microwave never hooked up??? Hotel and apts. People live here.
very spacious rooms with free WIFI available. Including balcony with a nice view!
Very clean, comfortable, quiet. Safe, lively neighborhood. Nice small pool on the roof with great views of the city
Could use more furniture and better lighting. Kitchen minimally equipped- not even one knife.
Great hotel for the price. The location (Haddock lobo in Jardins) is by far the best possible in the city The room was huge with a large living room (also with microwave and sink), a separate bedroom, a big bathroom. Everything in the room was brand new. I highly recommend this hotel.
Just one of the receptionists spoke English, but that was not a big issue. The internet connection was free but I could never make it work. Fortunately there were a couple of other high speed unsecured networks available.
room was big and spacious, decor in room pleasant. room was very clean.
wifi was not working. no hairdryer. staff did not speak english. front of hotel didnt look as good as in pictures, but room was nice and clean. location was slughtly more than 5 minutes from paulista avenue, though it was quiet.
Perfect location. Parking lot included in the daily rate was very convenient.
The mattress was not so good and I had backache.
Good situation in the business center of Sao Paulo. Close to the Paulista Avenue, the subway and restaurants (from cheap to expansive). We walk at night without feeling of insecurity.
Emplyees don't speak english.
The room very nice and clean. Location excellent.
But I think the pictures in the website aren't the same as the hotel. I think I little expensive.
Good accomodation for a family stay in S.Paulo. Hotel staff is quite friendly
